If you are quite obsessed with controlling your life…

Most people believe that happiness can be achieved by eliminating the uncertainties in their lives, by controlling the things around them, and if they can predict what will happen in their future. The sad fact is, although this can lend some security to one’s life, no one can totally control the events in their life or how their every day would end. Know that everybody at the mercy of the events that are occurring in our lives. Gaining some extent of control over our lives is an illusion. Worrying about and preparing for your future doesn’t necessarily allow you to keep accidents in life from happening. Instead, worrying can only prevent you from enjoying the good things in your life.

Instead of trying to gain control over your life, try to accept its uncertainties. Accept that there are things, plenty of in fact, that you have no control over. And appreciate that these uncertainties, these unpredictable events, these things that puts most of us on the edge, are the things that make life enjoyable, not to mention exciting. It is ironic but the truth is, the less inclined you are worry about controlling the uncertainties of life, the happier you can become.

If worrying is part of your second nature…

Worrying prepares you, it helps you get a grip on things, and lets you keep things from out of hand. It is a healthy thing…or is it?

There are people who think it is good to worry. Yes, to some extent, it is okay to worry. It really does prepare you for what’s coming ahead, it helps you solve the problems before they even crop up and it helps you get the upper hand on things. That is, if you are worrying the right way. If not, however, you are doomed to enter that vicious cycle of endless worrying that will suck the living breath out of you. If worrying seems to have become a second nature to you, it may be time to rethink whether you are worrying in a healthy way.

Ask yourself, is it really working for you? Is it worth your energy? If not then you should try to stop worrying.

Unhealthy, constant worrying leads you nowhere. It doesn’t solve any problem, it doesn’t prevent problems from forming, and it doesn’t prepare you for the future. It just wastes your time and makes you feeling unnecessarily anxious throughout the day. Stop worrying now and live your life free from worry.
