The person with hypoglycemia may be asked to avoid caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol since they can worsen the symptoms.
People with hypoglycemia should avoid skipping meals, especially breakfast. If a person with hypoglycemia thinks that they may be delayed from eating, they should keep a small snack with them to avoid the onset of low blood sugar and its symptoms.
