Armpit Sweat - How to Effectively Treat Excessive Armpit Sweat

Armpit sweat can be a really big psychological/stress burden. In United States alone, there are around 8 million people that suffer from excessive armpit sweat known in the medical circles as axillary hyperhidrosis.
For people suffering from this medical condition it’s often hard to explain to others their problem. Their biggest worry is that people are going to think that they have bad personal hygiene.
Luckily there are remedies available to treat excessive armpit sweat. We can broadly divide them into two categories:
Remedies that cure the root cause of the problem
One of the biggest causes for increased armpit sweat is the stress we have to endure in our daily lives. If we manage to reduce the stress on our bodies, we’ll be also able to reduce the armpit sweat. To get to the root cause we need to use a more “natural/wholesome” approach.
Our diet plays a major role in our fight against sweating. If we constantly shove junk food into our bodies we can’t expect it to function properly. Some malfunctions are going to occur. Cleaning up your diet can be the single most important thing you can do to reduce your armpit sweating.
Second on the list is water. Water is the fluid of life and with it we control our internal temperature. If we become dehydrated our internal temperature raises thus inducing the sweat glands to produce more sweat. We need to drink a lot of water to keep ourselves cool. How much water do you need per day? Type “hydration calculator” into Google to find out.
Third in our list is personal hygiene. The importance of showering and the usage of anti-bacterial soap can’t be stressed enough. The stink from our armpits is being produced by bacteria that live there. When we sweat, we exclude a fatty acid on which these bacteria feed and as a result, they produce the smelly gases. Shaving our armpit hair is also a very good idea. As an added bonus, showers are a huge stress reliever.
Remedies that cure the symptoms
On the other hand we have a more “aggressive” approach in treating excessive armpit sweat. I’m not going to talk much about them since they just treat the symptoms, not the real cause of the problem. Sure they do help in reducing the armpit sweat but they’re all short-term solutions to a long-term problem
There’s a lot of “aggressive” remedies to choose from. You have over-the-counter antiperspirants to botox injections. I don’t even want to mention surgery. In my opinion they’re allowed to be used only if, you tried to treat the cause of the problem and failed.
Be careful with these kind of solution since it’s possible to get some side effects.
